I am sharing this review to reflect my experience with the administrative side of this office. I genuinely liked Dr. Michael van Bergen and initially wanted to move forward with care. Unfortunately, my experience with the office administration made that impossible. I visited the office in July and followed up in August to understand the payment plan, insurance process, and next steps. As a first-time patient for this type of treatment, I needed a clear, written breakdown of costs and instructions on how to proceed. That information was never provided in a detailed or timely manner. Communication was a major issue. Phone calls frequently went to voicemail due to limited office hours, and returning calls without coordination made it difficult to connect. I repeatedly requested clear written information by email (payment plan, insurance status, and how to pay), but follow-ups that were promised did not occur. Conversations often felt rushed/impatient, and explanations remained high-level rather than practical. Most frustrating was being told support would be available within a certain time window, only to receive delayed responses that prevented me from moving forward with payment tha

I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Van Bergen and his team. From the moment you step into the office, you’re met with warmth, professionalism, and an incredible level of care that truly sets this practice apart. Dr. Van Bergen is not only a skilled and knowledgeable specialist, but he also has a calming, reassuring bedside manner. He takes the time to explain everything clearly, listens to concerns with patience, and genuinely cares about his patients’ well-being. The staff is equally wonderful. Every person in the office is kind, attentive, and efficient, creating a welcoming and stress-free environment. But I have to give a special shoutout to Shadi, the office manager—she truly makes my day every time I see her! Her warmth, humor, and dedication to patient care make a huge difference, and she goes above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Thank you all so much!

Dr. Van Bergen is super talented and skilled and highly professional, as well as honest and fair with high level of integrity! I loved getting my braces in Dr. Van Bergen's clinic. I got half lingual (upper jaw) and half ceramic braces (lower jaw) and I was very pleased with the process and the results. I didn't feel like I had braces on because you couldn't really tell and I really liked that, especially as an adult. All the staff are a joy to work with. I kept breaking my brackets several times and did other silly things that warranted me having to go to their clinic to fix things but they always accommodated me asap without any hesitation. I can't believe how lucky I got to work with Dr. Van Bergen as my orthodontist when there are so many unreliable and untrustworthy orthos out there mainly for cash grab. Highly highly recommend!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Van Bergen and his team! I have been working with them for a couple of years to straighten my teeth and fix TMJ issues. They did an amazing job right from the beginning with explaining all my options and showing me options I didn't even know existed (hello behind the teeth braces)!!!! Any time I had an issue they went out of their way to make sure I could get an appointment ASAP and wasn't in pain (even through the thick of Covid). They are all very nice, accommodating and good at their jobs! I recently had to go back (after having the orthodontic work competed last year) due to my dentist messing up my permanent retainer. Dr. Van Bergen didn't hesitate to do everything he could to fix the mistake (done by SOMEONE ELSE) and made my teeth perfect again! I seriously cannot recommend this practice enough, and I am extremely picky when it comes to people I recommend for anything. They have done an amazing job and my teeth look better than I could have ever imagined when I started. 10/10 recommend

Dr. Van Bergen is AMAZING. He is the most kind and amazing orthodontist I’ve ever had. He goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are cared for, even if that means coming in The day before Christmas to fix a bent wire. I can’t recommend him enough. Also I love the lingual braces. I noticed my teeth moving within 2 weeks. The gap in my front teeth is already gone! It’s exciting to see such rapid results.
